About Rhine Valley Expats

I moved to the Valley from South Africa in 2008 and started the Active/Social ladies (now Rhine Valley Expats) group in 2017. Adventure, growth, & connection are my top 3 values so being in the mountains, at the lakes and meeting people while scaling my business is my happy place! I left a career in finance and now support clients with chronic skin and gut issues so they have the freedom to pursue their dreams.

Originally from Czechia, I moved to our Happy Valley in 2020 after living in 15 capital cities around the world and still cannot believe I'm now one of the village people! :) Thankfully, the incredible community and endless adventures make it all worth it. I am a business psychologist, consultant and a co-author of a 4 year old girl and a global bestseller called ”The End of Procrastination”.

Happy Valley local for 7+ years, living here with my family and our dachshund Olma Bratwurst. Mountain biking, ski touring, and great food and wine enthusiast. Professionally, I lead initiatives around mobility, CSR, and employee benefits—focused on culture, community, and sustainability.

Switzerland won me over during a cycling tour across Europe, but it’s the sense of community that made it home. I love bringing people, ideas, and practical solutions together, and I’m excited to contribute to a network that helps expats connect, build, and belong.

I moved to the Rhine Valley in 2023 with my husband and two kids in search of montane adventures. Be it hiking, climbing, skiing or biking, we are fully enjoying the wide variety of activities this area has to offer. Born in Romania, a marketer gal in the business world, I’ve been living in Buchs for the past nine years, together with my two kids and our furry friend. Pilates instructor, a fanatic runner, and a nature enthusiast who loves the mountains. When I first moved here, I received so much support and love, and I’m happy to pass it forward by connecting and sharing with this wonderful community. I truly believe that shared experiences make this valley such a special place to call home.

We are Elodie 🇨🇭🇫🇷 and Andrew 🇦🇺🇮🇩🇮🇹 and have been living in the Rhine Valley, in Frümsen, since 2021.

We love adventure, traveling, and spending time outdoors with our kids Mila and Aidan.

As a nurse and a golf coach, we both enjoy connecting with people and sharing good times together. We are always happy to meet new people and get to know other families in the area.

Originally from India, I made the move to the Valley in 2019 and have been captivated by the endless mountain adventures ever since! You'll find me skiing, tackling via ferratas, or mountain biking whenever possible. When I'm not in the mountains, I'm likely underwater as a qualified diving instructor. As a proud dad to two daughters growing up in a multicultural world, I deeply value community and diversity, believing global perspectives make us stronger together.

We’ve been living in the Rhine Valley (Sax) since 2023. If our kids (Leomie & Liam) wrote this, we only work to afford camping vacations for them. As an Interior Architect with a passion for pottery and all things “home and garden" and a Ph.D. Biochemist with a passion for beer brewing, sports, and music, we love hanging out with other families or “adopting" people into ours. Fostering community is important to us & is best done with BBQ.

Born in Slovakia, but happily living in the valley for the past 9 years with my wife and daughter Amelia. You can find me ski touring, climbing, hiking in the mountains, or building gadgets for my wife in our community garden. I am always happy to meet fellow Rhine Valley expats and discover new places.
